Fingerprint Scanner Not Working Well

I've concluded this FPS issue needs another upgrade or two. The solution I followed from the guy in the YouTube video only worked for a few days. Now it's back to hit or miss.

Oh well. I'm exchanging mine for a 512gb...that's all that's available. The 128s are sold out...in stores and online.
I'm at a corporate store now exchanging my 128GB Prism Black for a 512GB Ceramic White.

I don't know but after I reset my fingerprint last night now it work 9 out of 10. I have zero problem. I am on AT&T model.

I know this has been asked, but how do you know if you have the update to the fingerprint scanner. I'm on Verizon s10 plus. I have setup my thumbs about 5 times already and am still having issues. Works great for the first day then totally stops and asks to press harder or keep on there longer. I've set it up 3 times today so far. Very frustrating. But I have not received any updates since I got the phone on Wednesday 3/13. Does the update come from the app store or os?

Did you check for update?
See below for updated version on Verizon

I install the DomeGlass on my Tmo 128GB S10+. I rescanned my thumb twice and it was working fine that night I installed. The next morning it stopped recognizing my thumbs. I've given up on the FPS and enabled smart unlock and the face scanner. I know face scanning is not the safest but realistically if I lose my phone who is going to know it's mine and google my face?

I've never had my face Googled.... does that hurt?😋

That's got be frustrating , work couple days then act up again. Like what would cause that SMH. Hopefully they send update to keep refining it more .

Actually what's frustrating is the update I never got. That's why I'm switching out my phone. AT&T couldn't even push the update. I don't wanna get stuck with a phone that doesn't update. I knew the FPS would be glitchy.

What color is your other 512?
Black

I like the white too. It's not as pretty as the Prism white but it is nice and the metal is this off-silver not-quite rose gold. Very subdued. I really like it. I'm too lazy to set it up now but tomorrow AM I'll be on it.

Oh boy you have the Att version
I helped lot of Att people in the Note 9 forums couldn't update from August builds or to pie. I flashed my Note 9 on Att pie at the time , that software update button scares me lol..lot bloatware on that version ,but did like the splash screen.

If you have to “give up”, it’s time to return the phone. Samsung pay along with all banking institutions will require that faulty FPS. Not a device I’d keep if one of its main features barely works. Just my 2 cents

I thought it was just me. The chrome seems to shift color and goes from gold to rose gold for me. I have some review cases that were sent to me and though they are mostly clear I have one that adds a touch of color

Weird, so as soon as I checked for updates on the new 512GB it saw the update and is downloading now. I wonder if AT&T is just rolling out the 128GB version updates later. Both my 512GB received the update.

Nice!

Well, I figured the best way to get it to work for me.

1. Register the thumb I'll use the most twice, the right, using different angels.
2. Register left thumb and right index finger.
3. Increase touch sensitivity to work with screen protectors.
4. Set it to wake when lifted so upon waking, I can the see finger print location easier
5. And set the double tap to wake in case I lock it while holding it or if it's laying on a flat surface.
6. Press it until it unlocks. Works every time.

Tadpoles, do you always get 2 of the same phones in different colors? I seem to recall you did that when we were both running with V20s....lol
Not always but I often have. Something in me likes to have backups of things I like so neither one wears out as fast. Weird logic but it is what it is. As soon as I was able to have two cars I jumped on that too.
Those V20s were nice. Kinda miss them and the days of removable batteries.

Yes...those days are gone when charging up your phone was as fast as you could change your battery.
I still have my V20 and I've used it as a music player but I don't do that enough because I already carry 2 phones.
