Are you kidding? It shows up in every thread. There's no avoiding it. That's why I laughed so hard when it showed up again on the Note 8 despite the complaining. lol

If it is off-topic and stuff just report it is all I can say :P (if it bothers you that much).

Eh...its okay. Like I said before, if it wasn't this, it would be something else. And maybe it is good for Samsung to hear.

Unfortunately for people who dislike the placement, it's probably time to look at alternatives if they plan on upgrading anytime soon.

Very true. I have adjusted but do prefer something like the Pixel or G6 for the placement. That said I am looking at a Pixel 2 but not for that reason.

Not true. I love the Note 8 overall but the FPS is really off putting to me. It's such a big deal because it's the only rear FPS by any OEM that is oddly placed and small size. So All the gripes are legitimate.

How small is it? How far to the side?

Well how will Samsung know people hate if no one said anything? ;).

They know plenty.
In fact they knew it even before we did, as the plan was to embed it in the screen.
The awkward placement on the back is a compromise, one forced very late in development.

It is either going to result in future devices moving it more central, or under the screen when technology allows.
The former is more likely I suspect, and it wouldn't surprise me to have been on their radar long before it was on ours.

Yeah I used to use the s-pen back in my note 3 to 4 days a lot. Lately I haven't really nearly as much so it has become a non-factor for me.

I agree. However, I do believe it's one of those things that the very MINUTE I don't have it, I'll want it back or need it.
For instance drawing out a deck plan in the middle of lowes to figure lumber needs.
Main thing I use mine for now is to crop out a cool meme. lol.
But I have made quick notes with it.
I love the Spen.

..Unfortunately for people who dislike the placement,...
That would be everyone. Is there anyone who actually LIKES the FPS placement? No one that I have ever talked to.

We can put up with it perhaps, smudge the camera lens when we miss touching it 10 times a day, have trouble reaching it because it is so far up on the back, and maybe even get used to it there.

But it's a mistake, it's in a terrible location, people don't like it, and they are saying so. It's something people do (unlocking their phones) dozens of time a day. So for something you don't like, that is a lot of uses over the lifetime of a phone to have to deal with. If you are OK with it, that's cool of course ..

I was referring to it being a deal breaker when deciding whether to upgrade to the Note 8 or not. We've already been down the S8 road, many, many, many times before already. 😄

I've experienced this. My boss is of the silver club and his wife bought him a smartphone. I have been the one finding everything and fixing everything on it. Im not used to my nails or fat fingers being such a issue because i use my spen..

Thank you. This looks like there's very little issue with the FPS.

Well, I don't think you're reading it too closely then. It says 66% of the people say it fails at least once out of every 4 attempts (Working 75% = failing 25% of the time).

Super small sample, in forums where people are more likely to list problems than state when it does well, granted. But still not a glowing result
