Fire HD 2019 google play services updating error

As in my previous Fire HE 10, I updated the system to be able to install using the google play store, and that part wroks, but some of the apps installed.that way run but some screens never update and show the message "google play services updating". This never goes away, despite reboots and reinstalls. All services installed, are the latest versions.

This seems to affect a certain type of all - Phillips and The Photographers Ephemeris.

Any suggestions?
