Firefox or Chrome?

I have been using Chrome on my Samsung Galaxy Exhilerate ever since I got it. I noticed the Chrome was remarkably slower than my default Browser. My question is, who all has downloaded and used Mozilla Firefox? I enjoy the UI of Firefox much more than Chrome. As far as I've used Firefox, the speeds seem to be greater than or equal to Chrome. What's everyone else's opinion?

I'm a Chrome FANatic! But, on the HTC ONE, it's not that great. When I try to click in the url window to type a search or enter a url, its take several touches to get it to respond. The HTC's native browser works best; however I'm going to download firefox now and see how that works....will let you know.

Sounds good. Also, i have the same problem too.

Some more pros to firefox: ive found that there are add-ons, such as AdBlock, and I love it. Secondly, firefox supports flash. I think this is the icing on the cake.

Still, i want a browser that i can inspect element with. Neither firefox nor chrome have that capability yet.

The lag is partly due to the embedded security features versus stock browser

I found Firefox wouldn't really run on my Samsung galaxy mini 2 but I don't use it for browser based webbing so no problem, just uninstalled.
On my Note 2 Firefox does run but often gives funny looking big fonts on random windows. Chrome runs and displays quite a bit better. I would rather use Firefox on principle, as I believe it's more secure and I use it on other platforms.
I try to avoid using the stock browser that came with the phone as I don't know what it is inside and am too lazy to learn yet another bit of software.

Firefox FTW! Runs smooth as butter, and syncs beautifully with my desktop PC(s). I tried Chrome on both my Note 2 and PC, but went back to Firefox after about a week.

I'm in the Firefox camp only because it allows me to run an archived version of Flash (which allows me to *legally* download music from a certain site that is Flash based). Neither Browser is very impressive in my mind. Then again, I could just be getting more jaded and less impressed with the smartphone world in general than I was 2-3 years ago first seeing Gingerbread.

  • Stock JB browser has better speeds (Also has pie controls if you enable it within settings)
  • Firefox has add-ons and is faster than chrome.
  • Chrome for security features (and I mostly use Chrome for my PC so I already have bookmarks and such on he mobile version via sync)

Honestly, there is no such thing as "the best mobile web browser". It all depends on a user's preferences in mind.

OMG same here!!! My Chrome is so slow to respond after launch. It sucks

I just use the stock internet that came on the phone; i found firefox as well, to be a little slower and sluggish.
