First "Phablet"... Anyone else?

Nice. Let us know what you think about it once you get it :).

I think I have a Lot to learn. I don't know what flip book or magazine is even for! I do love the pen though. My fingers never worked well with touch screens. The Voice to type is really good too.

My old phone is an SGH-T629. I've had it for over 6 years. I think it was only my second cell phone period. I think before that I had a Nokia 3390.

I wanted to shoot for something a little more high end this time.

Came from iPhone 123456 5s wasn't doing it for me glad I made the switch love this mini computer they call a phone ..on another note it will not work with my cars usb any one know anything about this?

The Note 3 uses USB 3.0; I would guess that your car uses USB 2.0. I think that the Note 3 is backward-compatible. Hopefully someone that has more knowledge on this will step in to help you.

Coming from the wonderful HTC DNA - I am surprised at how good the build quality of this Note 3 is.....especially compared to the incomparable HTC build quality......the processor is amazing - so so much faster than the DNA.....and the screen - OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS

Coming from a relatively shrimpy Samsung Stratosphere. The size of the phone is pretty exciting but heck I'm just happy to finally be off Gingerbread.

I am rather annoyed that Samsung disabled wallpaper scrolling though.

I love this phone! I can't stop playing with it. I am coming from a Motorola Razr Hd and I was afraid it would be too big for my hands also, but I am now used to it. I will never go back to a small phone again, just wouldn't feel right lol

Cant wait to get mine next month. Going to be a long long long wait.

Please don't call them "phablet"s. I dislike that word very much. When it was a 5.3" Note 1 was it a "phablet"? S4 is 5" so I guess the mythical line would be at 5"? Its a large phone with a stylus. Its like a PDA. Not a "phablet".

I'm going to call it "toast with butter", lol, getting my toast with butter note 3 on Sunday!

Haha :). The magazine and flip board are basically for news feeds. I am glad you're liking it!

Two years ago, the Note 1 was huge. Compared to my evo 3d at the time I remember thinking it could never own one. But much has changed since. The standard android flagship is around 5" screen anyway (not much smaller than the first note).

I did a lot of comparing of the Note 3 size to the s4 and g2. At this point in felt like getting a phone that's 1/2" longer and 1/4" wider was not going to be the difference between fitting in my pocket and not. And sure enough, I'm used to it already. Probably be hard to go back to a regular phone now.

So why not get the "phablet"? In fact, I'm not even sure it can be called that anymore. I just think of it as ahead of the curve.

I've been really impressed with the weight and feel of the device. I still think an extended phone call would be annoying but I picked up a headset with mine to deal with that issue.

The form factor is great for actually using apps. I've even loaded my office apps from my Nexus 7 as they're actually feasible for extended work on the phone.

Reminds me of my old pocket pc without the bulk and having to sync every morning. I've been very happy so far.

Has anyone here played with the Xperia Ultra AND the Note3 to compare? Sadly the Sony doesn't have a flash and so I'm not sure I want to do without that but I'm like another poster here where I'd love to have the Note3 even bigger at Mega size. The Ultra is 6.4" I believe.

My first smartphone was a Palm Treo, then a palm Pre, then an Ipad, then a Galaxy s2.. Now I get the best of all worlds in the Note 3

Just got mine off eBay no brand name but you can call anything Phablet or whatever I love it,using mine with Straight Talk

Mine first "phablet" was the Note 2. So I was already used to the bigger size by the time I got my Note 3. I love the Note line and don't even use my iPad anymore because the Note does all I want in a more compact, more easily transportable device. The battery is decent (it was better on the Note 2, IMO), the screen is big enough to read without straining my eyes, the phone isn't so big or heavy it because awkward or fatiguing to hold/use. Overall, it provides what I need without needing a second device/tablet during the day.

I love my phablet. The word sounds ugly but I don't really call it a phone! LOL My husband calls it a flat screen TV. Hahahha!
I came from the 4s. Now when I play with my the iPhone 5, I hate it. It's so tiny made me wonder how did I ever go so long using those phones!
The Note 3 screen is absolute amazing. When I first got my Macbook Pro I used it everyday. Now that I have the Note, I'm hardly on my laptop unless I need to do a blog post (I'm a blogger).
I feel so spoiled with this phone and can't wait to see what's in store with the Note 4. ;)

I may be crazy, but I wish this phone was a tad bigger. I would get a Note at the Mega size if the specs and features were all the same.

This. Note is my first big phone, but I'm sure | could handle a bigger one too. And I love the s-pen se Mega wasn't really an option. Aaand the amount of RAM... I just don't need to think about RAM anymore. Yep I'm coming from Galaxy s Plus.

I totally agree about the amount of memory available. Coming from a first generation Galaxy S that only had about 500MB of memory and ~300MB actually accessible to the user, a device with 32GB total (~25GB user accessible, is it?) is a huge improvement -- I can keep everything in the phone's memory with tons of room to spare. The S Pen is kind of cool, too. While I don't use it a lot, having it makes it much easier to take notes on my phone, so I'm doing that instead of using little handwritten sticky notes (which saves paper). The other thing that has really impressed me is the battery life. For example, right now I'm looking at 11h40m unplugged and the battery's still at 70%, so it's draining on average about 2.5% per hour. My old phone was no where this good; it would often drain 5-10% per hour. With the Note 3, I've been able to go over 24 hours on the battery a few times, when I tried it just to see how long it would last. I'm really amazed at how long the battery lasts -- no more mid-day recharging is a relief. This is a great device.

Right there with you on that!! :D I had a S4, but returned to wait for a 32gb S4 from Tmobile. It never happened, and low and behold the Note 3.. It was an S4 on Steriods.. Frankly from my layman point of view, it is the best smartphone out there, barring none..The Note 4, and/or the S5 is going to be the chit I tell you that.. I don't see how Apple had the gaul to come out with something that couldn't even compete with the S4, let alone the Note 3..I was never a phone person, but thing has got me hooked. :D
