First reboot after new update

Did this do this on its own or were you going from a 3G to 4G area, were you running a certain app?

So this is why they didn't say solves all reboots ever. You can make 3 assumptions -
1 - that the update didn't work (It has been good for me so far bybut i didnt have much of an issue to start with)

2 - that it works in some but not all cases

3 - that you have a different issue that caused the reboot - which could have been masked by the reboot issue. I would troubleshoot the last while waiting for more info.

We will see, didn't have much of a reboot issue before, maybe 4 times a week. I know with my other smartphones there was a "settling" in period for the OS, hopefully that's what it is. I was just curious if anyone else had any reboots since the update.

are you running froyo or GB? are you overclocked?.... i haven't had any reboots since going to gingerbread. i will say this new radio update has higher battery drain.

Just had my first reboot also. My phone is stock and updated last night. Was sitting on the desk not being touched and it rebooted itself.

I really feel like this is some sort of hardware issue that cannot be fixed by software. I have had my Thunderbolt for a month and a half, used numerous roms including both gingerbread and froyo roms, but not a single reboot. Not even one, I've had other rom based issues, but rebooting has never been a problem. I haven't overclocked or underclocked, but I have changed kernels and radios a few times all with the same lack of rebooting lol.

Exact same thing here. Just happened to see it rebooting today. Updated last night.

Was hoping my big honkin' 2750 battery would actually last me all day (if the phone didn't reboot all day long.)

Just as many if not more reboots after MR2. The only thing that keeps me from thinking it's a hardware issue is that I didn't have a single flipping reboot before they pushed MR1 out. After that my phone reboots 25 - 50 times a day if left unplugged (honestly, not exaggerating), much less if plugged in all the time but it still happens. And if I have to leave it plugged in I might as well just get a land line.

My only reboots on this device were with custom kernels on this phone. I owned the phone previously and had issues with reboots and shutting off while charging but none now. I owned an iphone 4, and missed too much of what android had to offer, so i bought another new, non-refurbished tbolt and handn't had an issue yet.

Both phones were hardware version 0002

And you haven't returned it for a new one..... why? Seriously, even the crappiest refurb would probably be a better experience than that.

I never updated to MR1 and have been watching this update really closely to see the general impression. My phone shuts itself off (no more than) 2-3 times a week but no random reboots as far as I can tell... definitely a bit nervous.

I was holding on for MR2 since I've had some bad experiences with refurbs and MR2 was supposed to address the issue. I already have a refurb on the way since it clearly didn't do that in my case.
