First ring low then sounds jump up - any fix for this?

Although the notification icon is blank, it shoves other notifications over a space. Not an issue, but will take some getting used to.

Seems good. Can we use the Jelly Bean option to hide notifications for it? Would that keep it in memory or not?

EDIT
yeah, you can. I rebooted and the increasing ring is still disabled.

This feature is available on feature phones but it has nothing to do with pockets. Which version do you have? Maybe its like the european version not being able to turn of shutter noise.

I bought my S3 about a month ago from T-Mobile and I have that going on with my ring tone also. The first part is low and then jumps to full volume. My son has another kind of phone and a different carrier and his does that too. He told me it's supposed to be that way so as to give you a little warning that you have a call coming in. Actually, I don't mind it.
By the way, is anyone else having trouble with the S3 volume being too low? It's barely adequate for me and I notice that my company work phone (a CrapBerry) is way louder by far. There is no way I could use the GPS feature on the S3 because I'd never be able to hear the directions without having the phone pressed to my ear. I've even installed an app called Volume + but that makes no appreciable difference that I can tell.

My guess would be the extra volume in pocket.. Wouldn't surprise me if the phone just always thought it was in a pocket :P

I just got my Samsung s3 yesterday and I've noticed this as well. I don't like it at all, but I'm not going to mess with my brand new phone to try to stop it. I wish it didn't do it, and hope that they can fix it somehow!

If you don't change your ringtone frequently, you might consider this - use an audio editor to add exactly 2 seconds of silence at the beginning of your ringtone. This way, your phone will start ringing 2 seconds later (which isn't much), but at least it will ring at a constant volume.

Try This

Click on Phone(App) > Menu button(Left Key) > Call settings > uncheck Increase volume in pocket (Ringtone volume increases when device is in pocket or bag).
