Hi Everyone,
I just bought the brand Nexus 7 tablet 2012 today and i am unable to set it up. It starts, asks for language and then my wifi connection is automatically detected.Strangely it is not asking for a password even though my wifi connection is password protected. After that it connects to my isp login screen for 3 seconds and then says webpage not available. I tried many times like shutting down the tablet, restarting the device and router both but to no effect. Has somebody encountered this error? Can someone suggest what is the fix for it?

Thanks and Regards

What security are you running on your router? Also, new Nexus 7 2012?

Welcome to Android Central! This is the forum for the newer 2013 Nexus 7. The forum for the 2012 Nexus 7 is here: Google Nexus 7 Tablet (2012) - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

But we can still try to answer your question here. Patrun's question is a good one, regarding what kind of security your router is set to. Also, what is the name of your wifi network? If the SSID is the default that came with the router (like "linksys"), then it's possible that your Nexus 7 could be connecting with someone else's network that is also called linksys. It's unlikely, but it's been known to happen.
