Flash-Camera

While I was in Hawaii, I tried to take pictures of my family with my droid but they came out dark. So then I turned on the flash but the camera would not flash still. Any suggestions?

It may have been the lighting. Was it bright enough for the camera to sense that it had enough light?

Well it was outside but everything was lighted around the tree except the person that was standing in front of the tree

did you try closing the camera app and re-opening it? I noticed sometimes that helps when changing settings to it

O wow its all of a sudden working now I hope they make fixes to the camera app on the next update

Is it possible that your subject was backlit? If so, the camera sensor may have underexposed your subject, having read all the ambient light.
