Flash CWR Over TWRP Safe?

Hi All,

I accidentally (and stupidly) flashed TWRP on my Nexus when I really wanted to get Clockworkmod Recovery on there. Can I simply download ROM Manager and flash CWR from there over the existing TWRP on my phone, thus getting rid of TWRP completely or will I have to go about some alternate route? Thanks in advanced!

Flashing a recovery overwrites the existing recovery. You're good

Personally speaking, TWRP is way better than CWR. I've been using TWRP on both my GNex and TPrime for months. Its a fantastic recovery. Its faster, has a better user interface, has batch options, and you can use goo manager which I really like. Its up to you but you can't go wrong with TWRP!

If you're still intent on using CWR, just re-install it from Rom Manager or get a fastboot image from CWR website and reflash from fastboot.

I agree TWRP is much better....for me anyway. I say much better because I haven't had a panic attack trying to get one of my backups to load because a Rom flash went bad (knock on Nexus). Unlike several times with CWM.

Yep, forgot to add... TWRP ftw. The ONLY thing CWR had over it is blobs.

TWRP > CWR.

Hmmm i am in this same situation...alot of roms suggest to flash with CWM...i like twrp better...
