Hey guys, idk if im just that dumb, but when i use Clockwork Recovery, and i hit Reboot into Recovery, instead of taking me to Clockwork's recovery menus, it takes me to the HTC fastboot menu( the one thats all white with rainbow colored words) am i doin something wrong or missing something?

Thanks for the help i hope im about to recieve!

You still have a zip file on the root of your SD card that is causing this. PG05IMG.zip.

Get rid of the file and your problem will go away.

Good luck

Did you install Clockwork Recovery? If so try flashing an older version and reinstall 3.0.2.5. Just having the PG05IMG on your SD should not affect your ability to boot into CWR.

Certainly, I am not an expert. I am an intermediate :D

But a PG05IMG.zip file on the SD will always put you in bootloader and is only recommended if you are trying to put the phone back to stock (S-On with no CWR). To flash a ROM, place the zip file on the root of the SD (not named PG05IMG) and then boot into recovery and load the zip.

I suppose it can be done the way he is trying to do it but it is the Looooooooong way around and confusing for anyone not familiar with the process.

My $0.02

Good luck

EDIT - Well now I have to eat my words. I just created a zip file named PG05IMG and placed it on the root of the SD. I then booted into Recovery from Rom Manager and it worked. It took me to Recovery and not Bootloader. Unless it is looking at something specific inside the zip file...

I have never renamed a ROM to this in order to flash unless I was going back to stock. I am officially at a loss as to how to help the OP.

Sorry

That was my point, I still have the PG05IMG zip from when I rooted on my SD card.

What the OP is trying to do is simply boot into CWR to install a ROM through ROM Manager. Which is actually the way a lot of people install ROMs. Instead of rebooting into CWR he is going into the fastboot. That was why I asked if he had actually flashed CWR after installing ROM Manager. It can be a common mistake.

Don't sweat the AC labels, knowledge isn't gained by the number of posts you have, but by the number of mistakes you've made and been able to recover from.;)

You might be just having an issue with Rom Manager, try powering off and then holding the volume up and power button to boot into recovery.

Not sweating labels and I agree, good quote. I was merely making light of the fact that I had just surpassed the 75 post mark.

In retrospect, I believe I am thinking back to my Incredible. I know I have had a device that if you left an img file on the root of the SD and you tried to boot to recovery, the file would cause the device to boot to bootloader instead.

Dinc is on the shelf now and so I am unable to test.

Crazy part is the OP hasn't been back and he was the one asking for help...
