Flimsy/Cheap Charging Port

Bought a used Nexus 6 which I thought was a bargain. Looked new, pristine .... until I connected the USB.
Tried various cables but none would stay connected. Sent it back for full refund and am now Nexus 6'less.
Might steal my wife's....

Wow I started this thread a year ago!

How everyone else making out with this? My USB port is pretty much completely useless at this point. Thank God for wireless charging, and hopefully I never need to plug into a computer again!

Mines fine ,not loose at all .I have used wireless charging almost all the time when charging . I had it since spring 2015 .
I do plug it in when needing to connect to computer

Mine depends on the cable; sometimes it works and sometime it doesn't, and I can also usually hold the phone in a specific way so that it can get a charge on a cable that won't usually charge it, but holding it in place is really tedious...

I can't stand wireless charging because the phone gas to be placed 'just so' in order for anything to happen, and that takes so much effort that it's not worth it.

My wireless charging pad is great, so much so that I bought it twice! I can drop the phone on there without even looking.

Only bummer is I'll have to buy a different one if my next phone has wireless quick charging.

Anyway, would fidgeting with the placement of the phone on the pad really be worse than having to hold a USB cable into the phone?

My charging port has just recently started to go. I tried different USB cables with the same result, I have to keep the cable in a certain position in order to charge my N6
That's not good....

I've had my N6 since its initial release date and plan on seeing what this year's coming Nexus has to offer, since i'd skipped on the 6P. So since I plan on upgrading by the end of this year, I don't want to spend a lot on a wireless charger... Just in case my next phone doesn't support wireless charging.

I just ordered a really inexpensive Qi charger of eBay ($8.00) I hope it holds me over until the end of the year. I don't need it to do tricks, just charge my N6...
