Flossy's Real Review of the Note 8

That's actually what I like about his reviews. He doesn't do any fancy transitions or pan shots. He, for the most part, does one continuous shot, unless he really has to take a few minutes away from the actual review, for things like phone calls or xerxies, lol.

Did you see Jerry's video on the V30 hardware? Pretty impressive. Curious what are you looking for in your next phone? The V30 sounds like everything I wanted in the G6. I think it would be my number 2 choice over the S8/+ and behind the Note 8. If I didn’t want the S-pen on the Note 8, the V30 would probably be my top choice.

That V30 is very well put together, Zack did a great job of explaining what is going on under there and especially in the camera.

This LOL so much specifically the syntactic part, OMG it annoys me so much how he says SLOT and NECKS (Next) LMAO. But he's funny and very informative.

No matter how long his reviews are, he holds my attention. That's the problem. I'm always interested in what he's going to say or do. A lot of the other reviewers have the same format and try to follow a pattern. To me, Flossy is the honeybadger of reviewers and gives it to you real and raw.

Flossy usually buys his phones so they are some of the most unbiased reviews out there.

You can't buy pre-released phones which he gets lately. I still think his reviews are pretty good

Yeah, in a lot of his recent videos, he states that hes waiting for his retail unit to come in so he can do a review for the final version.

If anything, the reason he got me as a subscriber, was his Note7 review, where he said, Samsung offered to send him a unit to review as long as he toned down or omitted some negative points. He declined the review unit offer and said he waited to buy his own so he could review it openly and honestly.

I hear ya. I just think a 51 minute review is excessive and is naturally going to contain BS. Which is why I have watched other reviews that are much more precise, and chose to not spend an hour on this one. But i'm not going to fault anyone who chooses to.

No one said he is. And no one is acting like it. I only mentioned it because people were saying he has no BS in his review and it made me laugh because 51 minutes about one phone is bound to contain plenty of fluff.

There is no fluff. I watched it completely this morning and I was surprised how quick it felt.

You see most reviewers usually gloss over the bad stuff for a few seconds and then focus on the best sides of a device.

Flossy on the other hand had a full on rant on the Cons of the Note8, he then focussed a lot on the software, going over new things like Seperate Sound, creating a GIF (I learnt how to do a GIF with his review), App Pairs, the SPen, Optimising the UI etc etc.... He was very detailed.

Flossy is the more "in your face version" of Erica Griffin, both of them do pretty long reviews but with both of them they delve into BOTH the good and the bad.

You must keep in mind Flossy does 2 reviews per device, 1st and unboxing and then a Full Review and that's it, whereas your Android Central's, Android Authorities etc... Will do multiple videos showcasing different things, and then you have your MKBHDs who give you a nice run through of the phone, focussing on more mass market features, to appeal to a wider audience.

No, but people ARE making a bunch of assumptions without actually watching his full review. You can't have it both ways. Either watch him and then complain, or move on.

Everyone on here who just loves the guy, refuses to even understand that someone might prefer other reviewers or think that 51 minutes isn't necessary. I like him at times, but I didn't need to watch a 51 minute review and I'm only talking on here because of what I said in your last quote of my post. I don't have anything to complain about, I just don't have to assume anything when I see that long of a review. I've watched his reviews in the past and at least 4 or 5 times his cat walks onto the table and he sits and talks to it. People say there's no "BS" in his reviews, yet they all know the name of his cat and the white shoe thing.

In a "no BS Review" I guarantee I won't know what animals they have, what the animals' names are, or how **** in a toilet looks on the screen of the phone I'm looking at.

I wouldn't be posting in here if people weren't so dang defensive of a guy that I'm not even attacking in the first place. Sometimes BS is enjoyable and amusing. But 51 minutes is incredibly excessive.
