Quick throw a bucket of water on it before your phone gets damaged!
No, no - a bucket of water won't do it.
I recommend flushing it down the toilet instead - that'll put the fire out but good.

true that it's not readily apparent, but if a Terminal Emulator is available, su it then type cat /proc/version to see the build date. This one is March 10, 2011.
Not seeing any noticable speed/performance changes here, but ... it seems to work great regardless. I could never get my wifi to work right under any EB16 variant, fired right up and connected with EC10. Color me happy, will check battery life tomorrow (still charging after a long weekend trip with many partial charges here)
Are all the positive reviews from Voodoo or non-voodoo? Also, can I flash the non-voodoo kernel over the deodexed/debloated version?
anyone know if this kernel has the dummy tethering?
LOL.... nice.
One more thing... is a nandroid back-up and dalvic wipe recommended before flashing a kernel? (or is that really just for ROMs and Themes)

I've been wondering this too. What's everybody on?
I just tried flashing the EC10 voodoo kernel over EB16 voodoo and my SF started doing the Force Close vibration and wouldn't go past the boot animation. I cleared both caches before flashing. Luckily I could boot into CWM after pulling the battery and reflash EB16 and got it to boot. Going to try downloading and flashing again.
I typed su then the command above. It said /proc: permission denied. Any ideas?

try this:
open terminal emulator
at $ prompt type "su" then <ENTER> key
device should then be granted superuser permissions and you will get # prompt. if you don't have # prompt, then su permissions have not been granted.
at # prompt type (exactly) "cat /proc/version" [make sure you type a <SPACE> in between "cat" and /proc/version"]
hit <ENTER> key
you should get "Linux version ..... blah blah blah"
with adb, terminal emulator, et al, you have to be precise with your commands/syntax or stuff won't work.

Voodoo and non-voodoo should not affect performance or stability beyond the normal voodoo bump. Flash the voodoo if you're running voodoo, non-voodoo if you're not.
