For real this time too: EC10 kernels

hi i'm having a problem with launcher pro the problem when i set a app on the button bar it will work till i restart my phone. after that it will show the icon of the of but it won't work. i have to reset it again has anyone had this problem to or know how to fix it ? Thanks

I almost certain this 1 will work-> 1st i deleted voodoo file on sdcard turned off system lagfix and disable voodoo lagfix next I did a complete wife out. Downloaded Sc2.9.1 thru ODIN this way is fresh then you can perform CWM EC10 from then lady robot start talking you'll probbly know the rest then. I did this direction and i have to problem whatsoever.

with root explorer go to dbdata/databases and delete the com.fede.launcher folder. you will have to setup your launcher again, but that will fix it.

So I flashed EC10 Non-Voodoo Kernel via CWM (and I have SC 2.9.1 loaded as my ROM). Saw the pretty blue letters after starting the flashing and then it said complete. I rebooted, checked under "About Phone" and looked at the kernel version and it still says 2.6.32.9. That sound right to you guys? I would have thought the kernel version would be different or something. Any thoughts ladies and gents?

Nevermind. Read through some earlier posts and as long as I saw the blue letters during the flashing of the kernel, it should have worked. Thanks guys!!!

After rebooting a few times the contacts thing is fine now. I was having various odd issues in addition to that but after the last reboot so far everything is working okay. I'll have to wait and see how things go.

the back button out of contacts has been bugging the crap out of me but i finally got mine to work. all i did was change the contact icon on the dock in launcherpro and then changed it back to contacts and the back button works out of contacts now. then i rebooted to make sure it would stick and it did.

Keep repeating the change shortcut, rebooting, and deleting folders thing. Eventually I annoyed my phone enough that it gave in. I also cleared the data for LP, deleted it, rebootedand reinstalled it. Pain in the... but as of right this moment everything is working well.

sounds hard. i will probably just flash a new rom in a few hours anyway.

It there a list of what this kernel supports? I could not find a list. I was wondering if it supported the back light notification.

Hey mike - I had the same trouble. And it wasn't until I restarted it that I noticed a difference. I suggest - change to something else - say calendar or something > reboot > change back to contacts > restart > see what happens - worked for me after I was having a hard time with it. Good luck.

Just flashed the EC10 Voodoo and WOW! What a HUGE difference! Its like a whole new phone.

I'm a glutton for punishment so I just installed the new 2.9.2 ROM. Launcher Pro is still slow to start and gives an error but everything else is working fine: Contacts backs out correctly and app drawer loads. I really like LP and am annoyed that it's having problems.

So now if you're willing, instead of just installing the kernel you can get the whole ROM.
