There is a balance to be had here... everyone wants to believe that their choice of phone is the "best". Some get kind of upset when their choice of phone is getting "picked on", and wonder why other people are bashing it...
Well, I am grateful for the "bashers". Please - Bash Away! I want to know what's wrong with them, in *their* opinion, of course. Saves me the time and the frustration of going through the same steps someone else has already gone through, whether or not there was a resolution. For example, I didn't know the FM radio had been disabled by Verizon, as I hadn't had the phone long enough and hadn't thought of testing that yet. I learned that it might not be a bad idea to leave the camera glass sticker on, too... The theme thing I personally didn't care about, but to others, that is a big deal.
As for the good things? I've probably heard most of those from the company's advertising!

But occasionally I learn there, too. Like the Google In Apps search. (even though there is no shortcut in the Verizon phone, at least I can still get to it in a somewhat "clunky" way.)
But a forum that only "sings the praises" of each phone is much less worthwhile, IMO. And to tell people, "If you don't like it, buy something else" is
much easier said than done, especially this year... and I think the manufacturers need to hear some of the frustrations that people are experiencing.
I know I'm not the only one that is just not "Wow-ed" by
anything that has come out this year other than the Note 7, but whether I like it or not, my days with my beloved Super Sexy Silver Sizzler are numbered. This forum, for both good and bad, helped me decide on the v20.
But, to make an even
better phone for all of those that already
love the v20, LG needs to know that there is kind of an ongoing theme being expressed; i.e. - 1.) for this price, make it waterproof, 2.) want to keep some Sammy business forever? stick a stylus on this thing, b/c a lot of folks are really missing their S-pen experience, 3.) the display could use a little "punch" for people coming from a Sammy, maybe a display mode that more closely correlates to an amoled display, 4.) negotiate harder with Big Red so they don't cripple your "flagship" device by shutting off features, 5.) there better not be any bootloop issues with this thing, etc.
But for the balance? OK, let's not be mean to one another. I'm guilty of that myself.
In closing, "Thanks to all the people who gripe!" We will ALL have better phones for it next year...
