I upgraded to GB thinking that was going to be better...but I was wrong.. I did my research and found out that GB 2.3.6 have lots of bugs...Nothing new from ATT. #1. I notice that sms got limited to one page of text... So if you like to text alot you "SOL". #2. HDMI Doesnt work anymore due to that update. #3. GPS Doesnt lock very well. #4. Freezing alot and apps wont turn off. #5. Signal drop and poor call cuality...

So I decided to do a little experiment and It work like a charm... I flashed this ROM using Odin 1.8 and all my problems were gone... I like I said Its an experiment.. Roms are suppost to be done while rooted and through CWM, I didnt follow those steps... I did it fully stock no root, no CWM... So Make sure you back up your contacts... Just in case.. But I did it and it didnt change my settings at all... All my contacts were there and all my settings...

I flashed this while been fully stock GB 2.3.6... For some reason this rom patched what ever ATT #$%^ up from the start..

Click this link below, then scroll down to ROMS and select the ROM 1997 UCLB1 [2.3.6] --[ Uploaded February 09,2012]

Sorry, this makes no sense.

The Official UCKL2 GB release had to be done thru Kies Mini.

One of the XDA members posted the Official UCKL2 release that he pulled from Kies Mini.

Another XDA member, rooted and deodexed that version so that it could be flashed thru recovery.

The UCKL2 official GB release was pulled by Samsung because it was buggy.

The UCLB1 that you refer to is the lastest leak, not an Official GB Release.

The UCKL2 leak is flashed thru Odin, Dman also rooted and deodexed it so that it can be flashed theu recovery.

Oh by the way, Samsung created UCKL2. The version of UCKL2 that you refer to was rooted and deodexed by dman, no other changes were made, and can only be flashed the recovery not Odin.

Maybe I did something wrong but it works fine to me... I just flashed that Rom on top of the one from ATT and my cel works a lot better... no Issues.. and I did it using odin... I know I didnt follow dirrections when flashing but I did it twice to two phones and it works...:D

I'm really not noticing any huge issues or bugs with official GB update. Yes there is few minor bugs, like touch being less responsive but I think plus side outweighs the minus side.

I don't use GPS very often, and don't text in length so I haven't really get a chance to see that bug.
I don't see signals/calling drops on GB.
I don't get FC often on my GB (I got more FC when I was on Froyo)

When I was on Froyo, some of the apps does not save my settings and just went back to default everytime I reboot or reopen the apps. (i.e. ADW Ex launcher, Perfect viewer, PowerAMP, PlayerPro, etc) After GB update, every single apps I had problems on Froyo work perfectly.

Battery life is significantly increased on GB. 10~11 hours usage drops battery life from 100 to 30 on Froyo. Now I have 15~16 hours with the same usage on GB.

So far I like my GB, at least it is better than stinky Froyo. If samsung releases revised GB, I will try it but Is it day ever going to come? :p

I hate 2.3.6 for the infuse. Everything I liked about 2.2.1 is gone and everything I like about 2.3.6 doesn't exist. Touchwiz sucks so hard.

Try the ADW Launcher.

I've tried using adw launcher on my galaxy player 5.0 and ended up having to factory reset my device because even after uninstalling because some component was blocking use of my radios. Same thing with go launcher. I'd rather not have to go through the process again.
