How much space is left on a device before u install/update anything on the phone. Pretty curious. this could drive my decision on getting a higher capacity phone.

32gb
64gb
128gb

Thanks

I am curious if the 128GB will be about the same, more or less than AT&T which is about 106GB (on my Edge model) which is going back.

I got my 32GB S6 today and it came with 25Gb of storage left.

Picked up two VZW 32G S6 regular phones today; well if I had got only one my wife might have had me sleeping in the spare room. There was about 21G free space so about 11G was used by the OS and bloat ware.

The 21G free will be plenty for us. In time if things get tight, just offload some.

this is why I say that they should increase the compacity and take what OS needs and give a true 32,64,128 GB phone

There is a great article about that "bloatware" on our new phones The Galaxy S6 bloatware's not bad, it's just misunderstood | Android Central and it does a great job of explaining that even if you could delete it you won't get the space back its in the partition that we cannot access. I also looked at a 64GB on Verizon tonight and it was about 56GB available, my (soon to be returned) AT&T model which is a Edge 128GB there is 106GB available.

Yeah, I just bought a "32 GB" Note 4...and I put that in quotes because it only has about 20GB available. That's just ridiculous. I expect the operating system partition to take up some space of course, but one-third of available storage? Give me a break.

It's not that big of a deal on a Note 4, but I will definitely recommend to friends and family who are considering an S6 to get at least the 64GB model.

your note 4 should have had way more than 20GB available out of the box, you should have at least 23Gb available out of the box
