Force the 4.3 OTA

I have 3 Nexus devices: Nexus 7 (2012), Nexus 4, and a Galaxy Nexus. Yesterday I got the update on the Nexus 7 after I did the services framework trick. I still haven't gotten the update on the phones but I haven't done the trick (I'm not going to do it to the phones). Coincidence? Could be.

I thought JBQ on Google+ confirmed that there's no point in clearing framework? Other than breaking push notifications, I think it's a big placebo.

looks like he is WRONG.

Overall the only big difference I'm seeing is the potential for Notifications Apps so if you use an App like Floating Notifications & dismiss its Notification it dismisses the StatusBar Notification & vice-versa.
The rest of the changes seem to be more behind the scenes stuff. Appreciate them nonetheless though.

Oh & my only real complaint is that now any on-going App displays an on-going Notification. You can switch it off like you could previously, but they switch back on every time you reboot - super annoying!

Still no update on my Nexus 7 (2012) but my Nexus 7 (2013) went through 2 updates last night. I can wait for the update because I'll do a factory reset when I sell it.

Tried once....worked. Haven't installed yet, tho. Want to keep reading people's experiences.

Thank you to all who gave such good advice here. I just did the update. It took two tries with the "force stop" step, but it updated just fine. I then had to do the Google account delete/reinstate step, but now everything is good.

I tried four times, but it just doesn't work. I guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks...
