Ford Edge sync taking over volume

[Android Central Question]

Whenever my Galaxy s9 is in use in my Ford Edge (synced via bluetooth), the volume slider bar stays on high regardless of how many times I try to lower the volume. Using the volume button on the side of the phone produces the same result. I have to turn off bluetooth. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Try disabling Media Volume Sync (Settings/Connections/Bluetooth) then tap the menu button, select ADVANCED and disable the Volume Sync toggle.
