Forgot my PIN lockscreen

I forgot my locked screen pin.is there a way I can unlock my phone without losing my numbers and pictures

I changed my lock screen pin but I forgot it how can I reset it

Oh thanks a lot. This second method of Niksangel has worked well for my Samsung s5 since I had initially locked with a pin and thus had failed unlocking using the first method. Thank you very much. God bless you so.

I tried this because it keeps telling me my PIN is incorrect but when i chose lock and do a new password it says that google recognized a password is already in place so this one will not be needed. ANy advice? I've been trying to unlock my phone since 8am! THANKS
