Former Blackberry User with Nexus 6P - several questions

Just switched from a Z10 here. The new phone feels fast and powerful, but still lots to learn. Basic file transfers, etc. seem a lot less intuitive.

I use file manager by asus. I highly recommend it. It does pretty much everything I need it to do including the ability to access my cloud storage and even my shared folders on my pc.

Dropbox is much more intuitive than Google docs, I don't think you should change if you're already invested in dropbox. Does dropbox on the iPhone allow multi uploads at once?

Not sure what you mean by multi-uploads, but you can share a link to view multiple files from the DropBox app.

If you don't care for Android....don't get a Nexus device. Nexus devices are the pinnacle of pure Android

How's the vibration motor on this phone? I use the vibration mode all the time at work. Is it noticeable? I don't want to miss calls if this is quite weak as some of the videos suggest.

Right now, I have switched back to my OG passport because the BT is very inconsistent. My pebble watch stays connected better on my passport with the snap loaded android apps compared to the playstore loaded pebble app on the 6P.

I was using the Classic earlier this year. It was easily the crappiest phone experience in my life. I'm never using BlackBerry again. Fooled me once. Shame on you. Fooled me twice. Shame on me.

I miss my OG Passport. Couldn't find the courage to sell it, so it sits in my drawer. If only they could find a way to get Andoid on that thing. It is good to finally have optimized apps that I've done without for so long.

OK came from classic and miss the hub... Even the android hub is not the same. What are you guys using for an email client? Was gonna use inbox but no unifies folder... Gmail app I don't really like, blue, top mail...etc can't find a really nice and simple one with unified that always takes me to a unified folder. A little frustrating but don't really wanna go back to a berry.

I don't know about you guys but I've really missed the BlackBerry virtual keyboard. The default Google one and even swype just doesn't cut it for me. Fortunately, there's an apk available so I've got that back at least. Best virtual keyboard hands down.

There's a link that will install the BlackBerry keyboard on your device. Super simple. I have the keyboard working on two of my devices.

Definitely loving it! Even though I always stood by the PKB BlackBerries, my Z10 was a touchscreen juggernaut.

Anyone switched to nexus 6p from BlackBerry Passport SE? Do u like it or missing bb10? I've been sitting on the fence on this for a while now and would like some real users opinion who have switched from BlackBerry.

Sometimes I think once the new phone novelty runs out, I might miss my BlackBerry and the passport. Any comments are appreciated.

Get the Priv - its the best of both worlds. I own both the Priv and the N6P and prefer the BB because of the physical keyboard and because the software is more stable. I'm sure Marshmallow will soon get there, but right now, BB's version of 5.1.1 is just more stable and reliable.

I honestly don't find the software on the Priv to be anymore stable than any other Android device I had/have that was released this year. I will agree that it the best of both worlds if you need or foresee using the PKB.

Re: Should I switch to the 6P??

Been a BlackBerry user for a long time. Currently using the Passport SE. While I love the bb10 OS, I'm wondering about how long the OS will last. Should I switch to nexus 6p? I'm not a big fan of android. But with plain android version I might be OK. Mainly I use the phone for emails, texts and talk. Not a big fan of apps. I would still miss the BlackBerry Hub and the fantastic email client of BlackBerry. Is this worth considering??
Get the Priv. It's a fantastic device. I love mine to pieces! I also really like my 6P, but if I had to choose one of the two, it'd be the Priv. It feels more mature, the physical keyboard is excellent to use despite its relatively small key size, the hub is cool, so are the other BlackBerry apps.

Gladly I get to play with both of the. :-)
