well, im pretty disappointed. the screen is, yes, beautiful. no doubt about that. but, when it comes to functionality, im not impressed. i use my phone constantly; it's basically glued to my hand. when i get a call and need to get somewhere, the navigation can't get me there. (i refuse to use the verizon navigator, i mean i got a android phone, i want to USE it. not verizon) bing sucks. plainly. it cant seem to lock my location. besides that, its great.

Got mine yesterday.so far I'm loving it.used to have a Storm so a huge improvement. Love the screen and its pretty fast.

Absofreakinglutely Fascinating!!!!

I love it... although it's my first droid... just about the rest of my family has one... and so far i like this one better.... GPS for google navi was quick and right on the money... sound is crystal clear... no problem running any apps... yeah bing bugs... but hey nothings perfect right??? well... this comes pretty damn close...

Glad you love it Russ, congrats on it, Fascinate it not part of the Droid line up , but it is an Android phone and an outstanding one at that.

Hello again. Sorry last post was brief. Yes, so far I love the phone. Got it a few days ago. Everything I was worried about was totally fine. The call quality is good and the GPS (so far) works very well. Found my location and used Google Navigation (worked like a charm). Even though it doesn't have Froyo, the web browser is very nice (and fast) and does support some flash content. The screen is amazing!!! I already downloaded a few games that really show it off (Operation:Sandstorm (a first person shooter game), Hero of Sparta and a few others. The marketplace had Need For Speed Shift on sale for .99 so I couldn't pass it up and as you all know from the demo, the game looks and plays fantastic. So far I'm happy I picked this up over the Droid X. I love the form factor. I also got Ghost Armor for it (front and back). The front looks flawless (can't even tell it's on and helps prevent smudges), the back still needs to settle (has two tiny bubbles that I hope will soon disappear). I'll continue keeping an eye out on the forums for tips, tricks and any questions I might have.

Out of curiosity do your sales reps tell people to install task managers?

Are these not good to use? Is there an alternative or just let apps run? Thanks.

No they are def not recommended to use. The alternative is to let android work the way it was designed to. We are all conditioned to shutting down programs on our own due to other platforms. not all apps are necessarily running, its not like angry birds is playing without you in the background.

Please search our forums for Task killers in many forums you will find a sticky on the subject. also here is a good article on the subject aswell

I had a droid 2 global, and it was pretty good, but the keyboard was just pointless to me since im used to on screen keyboards, it was also very bulky, so I exchanged it for a fascinate, I was thinking about the incred but the fascinate had a bigger screen, overall I like this phone alot more, nicer screen, bigger screen, just as fast, not bulky, and sharp looking. Love this phone
