FoxFi stopped workin

All of a sudden my foxfi stopped working. keep getting "failed to activate hotspot: startup aborted". un installed and re installed. wiped cache. no help. On lollipop. any suggestions?

Mine still works. They must have used an OTA update, all of which I block.

On a side note, I think there's a company that sells standalone mobile hotspots by the GB, so if it takes you a long time to use it all up, it ends up being cheaper per month. If I lost FoxFi, I'd just severely downgrade my Verizon plan (hint: I'd pay less) and pick up one of these. Whenever Verizon tries to exert more control over me, I respond by giving them less and less of my money.
