Franco's Kernel APP

I 2nd this, and I get when and how to use them. But what exactly do they do. I have Power Save mode on right now, but what does it do? I assume it turns off one CPU when the screen is off but other than that I'm not sure. Every time I turn my phone on 4G is still running, so I don't think it kills data. Maybe it lowers the CPU speeds as well. It'd just be nice to know exactly what the Power Modes are changing in your settings.

Select a power mode then go to the cpu settings. They are shortcuts for different setups.

Flashed as well. Cheers to a good tomorrow - looks like the changes were minimal and specific, and 192 owned hard, so I have high hopes.

Agreed! I just flashed r194 from r192, which was outstanding...so here's to a happy r194 day tomorrow!

Odd advice that may be device-specific, but my phone ran better for the better half of yesterday (and today thus far) using the 13XX overclock on the Kernel (one up from the 12XX stock speed). And by better I mean a higher deep sleep % and slightly crisper speed, but all with a little better battery.

12XX CPU was fine, but for some reason my phone likes the 13XX. The big difference was the deep sleep %; it rested in the mid-to-upper 80s, whereas on 12XX it was in the mid-to-upper 70s.

That is interesting you say that, I saw see the exact same thing, at 13xx. I am using the Wheatley governor, which are you using?

Anyone having trouble with the app? I updated it and then it said I had to purchase app. I uninstalled the app and then when I tried to reinstall it says franco.Kernel updater could not be downloaded due to an error. (923) I sent franco an email too. Any thoughts?

*nevermind when in doubt- reboot.

Even if you had a problem it'd be fixed before you know it. I've never seen an app dev push as many updates to an app--daily--as franco pushes!

The new update to PGM is working great and no issues with it working on r196 and CM9 0625

It wasn't clear, to me anyway, on how to toggle Fsync. Is there a secret switch?
