Thanks for bumping the thread. Yes, the 50GB free upgrade is still active at box.com. After installing the app I was automatically upgraded from 5 to 50GB.

so is it true that free box users get desktop sync app? if yes, how well does it work?

last time i got 50Gb with Hp touchpad it was a pain in the A to work with files since there was no desktop app.
I later deleted the account and stick with skydrive and google drive.

i already have skydrive, dropbox, and google drive accounts. oh well, i guess the more the merrier

based on my very limited experience with these cloud services, i can say that most likely i will be using google drive most of the time. i like how you can set your shared files to be "viewed only". only problem is, i get a lot of upload errors with drive. dont have much experience with dropbox but so far, less errors. i will probably dump skydrive in the near future, but we'll see.

there should be a pop up for it. it automatically happens when you sign up.
