Or just wait a day or two for the devs to get a rooted version of it out, correct? I've never been through an OTA, as my last two phones were from a crazy company. If you go all the way down the s-off hole, then you have more options as well.

I have been reading many posts in multiple forums as well as links to other posts about unlocking, rooting, and being able to use the hotspot feature on my rezound. Is there any SINGLE place I can get ALL the instructions, where to find the files needed, etc? I have never rooted a phone. I don't want to chase the files / instructions through many different forums. Frankly, I am more confused now than I was before I started reading all these posts. I would like to print out the instructions, and get this done. I don't need tethering. I on;y need the HotSpot for my new Rand McNally TND720. This GPS needs the HotSpot so it can get the traffic updates. I am a truck driver. This feature is great, as long as it can get the updates as I drive.
