This is by no means custom work. I couldn't sleep so I rolled back, flashed stock recovery, updated to FRF50 then updated to FRF83. Then rooted and installed busybox and superuser.apk after flashing clockwork recovery back. This is the result. Flash from recovery as you would any ROM.

You might have to wipe.
You have to start from either FRF50 or FRF72.
You get the stock FRF50 boot image + stock bluetooth and wifi drivers
Does not touch the radio
It's a perfect start for someone who wants to roll their own version of FRF83 so I'm sharing it.

Flashing one of pershoot's froyo kernels seems to work well. YMMY

It's cool. But I am already on FRG83. Is there any way to root it without unlocking bootloader?

No, and there shouldn't be. Publicly cheating HTC is a sure path to locked and encrypted bootloaders.

Take responsibility for your actions.
