Do you have to buy a skype number to make the video chat work on fring?

Here's an easier question.

I'm linked with Skype on my phone as well. How do I add a Skype ID using Fring? Or do I have to add it using Skype, and Fring with sync my Skype contact?

I am using Fring on my Motorola Droid. Picture is fine, sound is very annoying. Is anyone else having a problem with the sound?

I've been using my pc to add Skype contacts.

You can add contacts from Fring don't forget you have that menu button on the phone.

I've gotten two seperate Fring/Skype calls from people on their PCs, but haven't done it Evo-to-Evo yet. If anyone wants to add me, my Skype name is also Fractalsphere, if you add me tell me you found me here.

Headset is confirmed, For some reason if you do EVO to EVO it gets this weird feedback. But its not apparent on any other device.

I just did a Skype video call via Fring from my Evo to my brother's Macbook. Worked well...I was on 3G and both the video and audio quality was good.

One question...how does Evo to Evo video call work on Fring? Is it done through the Skype contacts, phone contacts, or adding them through the Fring user community? For example...

My buddy has an EVO, and I've added him on Fring via Skype.
If I video call him on my EVO thru his Skype ID, will this initiate a video call with him on his EVO?
Or, do I need to add his Fring ID on my EVO, and video call him that way?

Yeah it uses the skype for the video call. Just add him to your fring buddy list
