From and Iphone4

Hey all!! Glad to be apart of the Android community. I just left the iphone 4 and picked up this g2x. I love it.

I was wondering if any of you have any tips to take my contacts from my outlook on my home pc and transfer them to my new phone.

Is there an easy way to do this? I dont really want to go the gmail route!

I think it's possible...but you're pretty much going to have to sign up for a google account to get the best use out of the phone, so why not just use the gmail account for your contacts?

For free email, Gmail is amazing. I don't think you'll be disappointed. You could also use an app like K-9 Mail to have a unified inbox of your exchange and gmail mail.

(I've not used K-9 yet, but it looks pretty good)

Gmail is definitely the best way to sync contacts going foward, since it automatically restores all your contacts and calender if you switch phones or change roms(rooting).

I have used K-9 for while and it's a great app that does a lot of things right but it can be a battery hog if not configured correctly. If you use it, don't get carried away with the push feature or you'll drain your battery in half a day
