From BB to Incredible (Have issues, need help, advice)

ok well i got my yesterday and im starting to get into the inc. first thing i dont like is i cant assign different sounds to my text or mms alert also i cant assign one of my sounds for the alarm either which i dont like that. i had to get a app that let me put a custom sound on my alarm which i need to get up in the morning. now i need to find which app will let me do the same thing to my sms/mms/email.

You can have a seperate tone for gmail in settings and sms/mms can have a diffferent tone but i havent seena a way to seperate sms from mms. Need a BerryBuzz for android!

Yes, you can use our Eris 1750 mah slim extended battery for HTC incredible. It works and it fits.

Seidio is also working on 3500 mah super extended battery for HTC incredible. It will require a new door.

Do you have an idea of how long it will be before the 3500 comes out?

No worries on turning it on before it was fully charged. Lithium Ion batteries do not suffer from "memory" issues which reduce the battery's charge capability.

One recommended step to take with Li-Ion batteries is to calibrate them with a full discharge/charge cycles every couple of months.

When you first get a LiIon device, get the battery fully charged up, then use the hell out of the device and let it drain all the way down to the point of powering itself off. Charge it fully, then do it again down to powering itself off. Doing this once should do the trick, doing it twice just guarantees it.

This helps calibrate the phone/battery pair so it knows how much juice is actually left in the battery. This sensor gets out of whack over time, so it is often recommended that you do one of these "discharge to poweroff" cycles every 6-8 weeks. (Or every 30 full charge cycles, whichever is sooner)

Doing this or not doing this will not harm the battery, but if you don't do it occasionally, your battery capacity indications might lose its accuracy over time.

Should I do it!?!?

Alright, the wife has given me the green light to get the Incredible and she wants the BB Curve...We are currently Storm 1 owners and just fed up...

I need some sort of affirmation guys and gals....I am hesitating because I am just not sure whether I should just go to the Storm2, wait for an iphone (which I don't think will ever happen), or whether the Incredible will have some issues (I am sick of being a guinea pig similar to my Storm 1 experience)...

The storm was the first BB touch phone. This is not HTC's first touch phone. You are good.

Dude you can't even compare the two devices. It's like getting out of a pinto and getting into a lexus. After you get it come back to this thread and tell me how right i was.:)

actually u should get 2 incredibles. ur wife will be angry at u for the 2 year contract for gettin her a crappy BB. she wont believe this device. its freaking great

haha. thanks for the advice.

my wife says she is done with touch phones. she wants physical buttons.

i am still leaning toward getting the DI. i have read about people getting $100 with their NE2. I still have 6 months left until I get NE2, so I would pay the $200 and restart my NE2 clock. I doubt they would give me the NE2 6 months early...what do you think?

Crap, your worried about 200? My NE2 is not for another year. I want to get the phone but Ill have to pay the retail of 550 :(. Worth it... or not worth it.. That is the question :)

I just came from a Storm 1 and owned it since 8:00am on the day it was released. I've been an avid participant on Crackberry ever since.

The Droid Incredible makes the Blackberry look like an abacus.

You should both get the Droid Incredible. Now.

Here's the ultimate question.

To those who used to be Moto Droid users and now have the Incredible. Would it be worth the $500 price tag for me to get it? Im tempted... ohhh so tempted.

I was told by a verizon rep that they "can" offer upgrades up to 4 months early. They did my Incredible upgrade about 2 1/2 months early.. Do yourself a favor, GET the Incredible. I went from a Storm to it and it was a great decision!

Hmmm...wait 2 more months....that seems like an awefully long time...

I agree with bart151. $200 is a good deal. Much better than $529.

@Matt, Lol. ABACUS..... I think the abacus was more reliable ;)

The storm I had was reliable. But this isn't just better, it's a completely new experience... like going from a horse drawn carriage to a Porsche.

sweet phone

This phone is amazing. I had the storm 1 and this phone is beyond great. You will not regret getting off the bb storm.
