When you are "grandfather" in on data plan does it last as long as your contract? Does it change if you upgrade and extended your contract? (may answer my on question but need clarification)

yes, in fact just say you want to renew your contact and you can get the same one thas what i did when i got my tp2, the first vzw phone when i was alltel

Thanks dude. I'm in Augusta, Georgia and we're suppose to be getting 4g soon. I gotta cut some corners so I look at the Thunderbolt as an investment to replace some other equipment.

Now I've just got to figure out how to tether my XBox to the TB. Hehe...

I live over by I-20 and Washington rd exit so I did my preorder at BB on the 6th but I'm probably gonna wind up going to the vzw store across from Logan's. I keep calling the BB and they have no fricking clue when their getting them in lol. And I'm sure there's a few who know about it though....very few. I heard we're getting 4g at some point this year...my guess would be towards the end of the year.

Im think if its going to be announced this week, its not gonna be onsale till next week. This will give them time to preorder.

This is what the iPhone did and hopefully thats the case here. Tuesday would be a good day to announce preorder starts on Thursday and they start shipping over the weekend and be instore next week.

Agree about the announcement this week and sale next week....but don't think vzw will do preorders

Well if you aren't a primary line then 99 times out of 100 the new contract price and the upgrade price are the same. If you have one new every two credit left from before the iPhone release then you'll probably get some money off the price.

Trust bMX. Also I would give gizmo fusion a benefit of the doubt. Anyone remember radio guinea from crackberry? That's his site. He was always good with info.

HTC does not make devices with a battery efficiency focus. I expect the TB is pretty thirsty. But who knows if that was the delay.

And on dataplans I think that since VZW spent 100's of millions on their new network and drove their employees to the brink to get it ready for end of 2010 they will charge more for it. They always have. I just hope that the Corp days plan I am on us on par.

Im sure Verizon will be carrying the ipad 2 also. I dont see why they would want to steal its thunder.

Yes, I don't think it would be announced on March 2. I would agree with the other poster who mentioned a March 3rd announcement (if in fact it is launching on the 10th) with pre-orders next week.

Honestly though, I'm still counting on this thing in April.

It's funny how people, especially on message boards, always act as if the carriers care who "win" the smartphone war. Verizon wants to make money, if they didn't think an OS will make them money (ala WP7) they won't carry it or market it much. Verizon wants both Android and iOS to do well because they sell devices for both. The idea that Apple is behind all the TB delays is ludicrous, and yes it is unlikely that the Bionic and iPhone 5 will be released the same week, but that's just good business, not some conspiracy.
