From Windows Phone to Android. Need suggestions...

I have been using Windows Phone since 2010. I have been an enthusiastic supporter of the OS and really like its simplicity and ease of use. Recently I have seen a very troubling trend of apps being discontinued, abandoned or ignored. I get the feeling that Microsoft is close to pulling the plug on the whole thing.

I don't want to go to a new ecosystem. I have serious reservations about security on Android. So what hardware should I be looking at that has the following features:

No bloatware
Fast updates
A very good camera (would prefer OIS and bi-color flash)
I would prefer OLED over LCD. Anything 1080+ would be OK.
Smallish - 5-5.2" screen, very small bezel
32GB + SD

I am also looking for a camera app that will take macro photos at varying focal lengths like a Litro, but with the ability to stack the focal points into one all-in-focus image. Any ideas?

Not sure there's one phone out there to check all those boxes. The Nexus 5X gets close but has no OIS, SD card support. Unless you go Nexus, you won't really get fast updates. Motorola has little bloat and relatively quick updates for the first year (compared to the rest of the Android world outside Nexus) but the cameras have been lacking historically.

I feel the same as the OP, and more and more by the day, I'm strongly considering the Nexus 5x. I'm indifferent about the SD though. Good to know that my choice is confirmed. I prefer IPS though, (AM)OLED is a bit much for me.
