Front Cam quality of LG G6

Hello community!

I am thinking about upgrading from G4 to G6, but there is one question:
Is the quality of shots with the front cam of the G6 as good as the G4 ?
I know that the cam of the G6 only has 5MP, but thats OK.

But:
Are shots with the front-cam in lower light conditions as OK as with G4 because of the smaller aperture?

I think that the G4 had a better one.. Ever since the V10 it's been pretty bad from LG.

For some reason I've been getting pretty good shots with my selfie cam but its still a work in progress.

Not thrilled by the quality, but the wide angle is really useful.

Here's one from today. In good lighting, the photos are more than acceptable viewing on the phone screen or on social media. Fair bit of distortion, but that adds to the 'wide angle look'!
