Front Camera Has Purple Spots

I don't have this problem

Sent from my Pearly White Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

I didn't have this problem until I owned the phone a few weeks. Then one little bright purple spot showed up, but in only my photos that were taken in low lightning. Then a month later a second purple spot stated appearing. Called Verizon, it's a manufacturer's defect in the camera and covered under warranty. Samsung has recognized it as a problem so you shouldn't have any issues getting a replacement phone. Good luck!

This reminds me a little of the purple camera flaw I had in my HTC one m7... had to send it to HTC to fix. Apparently caused by overheating. But it wasn't tight dots like this... and definitely more in dark situations.

Hope it isn't a flaw...

I have faced this problem on my s6 , i took my phone to samsung and they changed my front camera

Dana Nseif, did that correct the problem? I use my phone for work and can't be without it. I am taking it to best buy to talk with the samsung rep. I have a ticket open with their support and am hoping they will just let me exchange it even though its past the 14 day exchange policy most places have.

I have this problem on my S6 also. Has anyone went into AT&T (or any other carrier) to replace the phone? Do they give you refurbished or brand new phone?

I just noticed some purple dots in the front camera as well. Just popped up out of no where. I've had my phone since day one from T-Mobile, so I'm well outta the return policy. Guess I have to call samsung to see what options I have. Anyone have getting a replacement from Samsung/Carrier after the return window expired????

This is probably stupid of me to say this but I know mine had small clear plastic covering the lens, might that have something to do with it?

Mines just started to do it.. Wonder if it's software related..

Mine just started tonight. Ive had mine about 3 months. First noticed in snapchat and it is only on the selfie camera not rear facing. Tried restarting it because my selfie mode was working literally 2 hours earlier. Goin to store to see if they can do anything

I'm friends with one of my TMobile reps. He put in a ticket for a replacement phone for me but, since I have the gold one, it is backordered with no definite restock date.... so, the waiting begins.

My Samsung is doing the SAME thing i have a Galaxy 6 spoke to Samsung they wanted me to send my phone in but i STOPPED THEM DEAD IN THEIR TRACKS last time i sent them my phone i was without a phone for 2 months because it was stolen or what they called it "lost" so i told her nope not doing that she said to take it to my provider that they should replace it because its still under warranty but idk if i still want the galaxy when you got yours replaced did the problem continue or did it stop [

I held off sending mine anyway since it was going to take weeks and others have done the same only for it to happen again. .. Just happens In low light.. Wonder if a software fix could fix it? Pretty annoying and after spending a lot of money on a phone it's not really acceptable. Just have to live with it
