Froyo DK28 is out for EPIC

Touchwiz Slow In Leaked Froyo Build

Touchwiz seems sluggish in transition from landscape to portrait and vis versa in the leaked Froyo build. Touchwiz also redraws slowly when coming back from applications. Has anybody else seen this?

Anyone else try the camera?? I find the quality is worse..

Also, the Gallery takes longer to load due to the unneeded animation...

Quality seems the same too me... Took a few pics of the kids afterwards and looks the same as yesterday before the update.

Yes the gallery takes an extra sec or two literally to load because of a little added animation in the upper left corner.

Bottom line just like anything, when they update something they always add some little "flare" to make things look better and it ends up being more annoying than good.

Overall I'm happy...

My update was simple. No big issues. Touchwiz is a litle slow. I hope we have an upgrade path when the official release is done!! Loving Froyo!!

Downloaded and went to install it, had a hiccup and it failed and ended up having to restore 2.1 and then retry installing of 2.2. 2nd time it worked and it is running quite smoothly. Overall, I am liking Froyo quite a bit. Ran a Quadrant and was scoring mid 900's on 2.1 (usually around 950 or so), ran it on 2.2 a few times and average score was 1070.

Only real annoyance is that the Fandango app doesn't show up in the market for Froyo.

When I try to instal the update I keep getting E:signature verification failed installation aborted.
Any ideas?

Hey guys, I'm having a problem using my SD card in the phone since updating to 2.2.1. The phone detects that there is a card inserted but I can't bring up anything off of it. If I go in the Gallery app, no pictures show up. The phone also doesn't ring anymore, because all the ringers are on my SD card. If I try to open the ringtone settings in the Phone app or the Messaging app, the phone will vibrate once... then about 3 seconds later it will vibrate 3 times in quick succession and then the app will force close.

Any ideas?

Well, using the Samsung Music player, on the Fascinate before, I considered it THE best music player on any phone I've ever had. Now on my Epic with this Froyo update, there's no bass on the stock player, even enhanced by the EQ.

Very disappointing.

I haven't had any issues with the market until I did the Froyo update. For some reason it won't even find the fandango app. Sometimes it just randomly times out. It's really getting annoying.

I haven't found the fandango app either, just figured it wasn't compatible with 2.2. I even tried going through the Fandango site and it couldn't find the app.
