Ok so i dont have su in "xbin" its in bin. How can i move it over

I moved mine with root explorer to xbin before 2.2 that was in P3's instructions.

But now after the update rootexplorer is the only thing that doesn't work. I get the pop up for all the other apps except root explorer....

how do i move the leaked file on to my SD card -- i downloaded the file on to my pc but when i connect my x to the pc i cant locate the sd card

Found something that doesn't work. Any ideas on how to get pda net working? Error code comes up 'cannot open pipeline'. I need my pda net

Is there a way to go back to the 2.1. I miss my root... I unrooted before the update, and now can find out how to get rooted after the 2.2 update.

You can still root with froyo. Alldroid has a one click root app, give that a try.

Are you sure? I can't get it to work. And from everything I'm reading, you have to root with 2.1 before you upgrade to 2.2 to keep root. Unfortunately I did not do that. If you know how to do it, I'd love to hear about it

STOP: YOU MUST VERIFY THAT YOUR SU IS LOCATED IN THE XBIN NOT THE BIN
I suggest using Root Explorer as it is the easiest was to do it: Get it in the MarketPlace

open rootexplorer
navigate to the /system/bin folder and hold down the su file, then select move
navigate to the /system/xbin folder and press the menu button (4 squares)
select edit and then paste

That procedure he points to says you must be on 2.1 in order to do it.

You had to have moved the su file BEFORE you installed the 2.2 leak.

I bricked my phone after updating to froyo. I installed a 2.1 theme without thinking. Oopsy

Watching an embedded unboxxing video of the Samsung Epic 4g on IGN right now (using Dolphin HD over my wifi) and it's honestly no different than watching it on my PC (other than the 4.3" screen vs. the 24" screen).

I'll ask my wife where she put our lil Kodak zi6 camcorder thing in the morning and try to video it tomorrow and post something if I'm feeling ambitious and no one else has beat me to it.

It was legit too, I didn't screw with it like you can. I saw 9000+ the other day from cyanogen.

I did to into build.prop and changed the stagefright stuff to true instead of false though.
