Froyo Update?

Looking forward to getting this phone to replace my iPhone 3GS, but does anyone know if/when Froyo is going to be available for this phone? I hate to buy a new Android phone with old software

its not old software, and Froyo isn't even final from Google.

It has already been confirmed by both ATT and Samsung that it will be updated to Froyo 2.2. When is the question. Most likely before the end of the year.

According to what is going around it should be before the end of the summer.

The only thing to worry about is ATT dragging their feet. They are always last to release updates because they worry more about their bloatware and lockdown than keeping everyone happy.

Can always slap another ROM on the device if you don't like to wait.
