FroYo vs. Honeycomb?

can this be run off of the SD card?

No one that I have seen has come up with an SD card install option for CM7.

That's probably mostly because they are still working out all the kinks for the eMMC install.

Personally, I like the internal or eMMC install. It's faster. I still use the SD card installs when I get the itch to try something new. Usually all I do is remind myself why I picked CM7 for my day-to-day rom.

When we get real version of Honeycomb things might change.

I don't have a Nook, so the hardware probably makes a difference. But I do have a Xoom and Froyo on my phone... and Honeycomb is FAR better than Froyo by leaps and bounds.

One of the posters commented that it is laggy on the Nook... this is certainly not the case on Xoom. Honeycomb was likely optimized for use on dual core processors...

i'm going to try out the CM7 gingerbread mod when i get home tonight (sounds really good)

honeycomb just isn't ready (in the state we have it) it was smooth for me (not laggy, which shocked me) i just got to lay my hands on a xoom for the first time today, and yes it was quicker (as it should be for 3 times the price of a NC) the thing that bugged me the most about HC was the market on there didn't have all the apps (or a lot of the ones i use most on my phone) no big deal.

the other thing will be when barnes and noble get their digital deliveries fully working in their app instead of just on the NC.

in a perfect world honeycomb full source gets released and the nook app gets digital deliveries for magazines on the same day.....haha

Will stock rooted NC run apps like if you was in your phone? Lets say, Facebook, YouTube, dolphin browser ect

I want to buy one but I want to read and know a little more to.

I can say for sure the rooted system will run facebook, youtube angrybirds ect. i am not sure about dolphin but i would guess that it would.
Hope this helps

I think it has more to do with the fact that
1) most people are running of slower SD cards
2) the present honeycomb build is a the preview. Once the source is released, everyone will be able to take advantage of the improvements and bug fixes that the xoom presently has.
