Full screen album art mod for lock screen??

I miss the full screen album art on the lock screen from my lg G3 while playing any type of media (Pandora, Spotify, etc.) ... Even worked while I used xbmc (now kodi)... I believe even Samsung had this as well. While some didn't like it, I loved it!

Any way to get that back on the s6/edge?? Not sure why they did away with this.

Ps... I'm rooted, so if there's any mods out there that'll achieve this for root, let me know

I'm saying any music player and xbmc and, well, most media would show up with not just lock screen controls but full screen "album art" on my LG g3. Even my previous note 4 did the same. Now I have the s6 edge and nothing does. Which tells me Samsung did away with that "feature", if you can call it that.

What I'm asking is if there's a way to get that back. I figured some kind of mod may be available to re-enable that capability for rooted devices. Or any way at all.

If anyone actually knows, info would be appreciated. If you don't know... no need to respond

Samsung didn't get rid of this feature, android did with Lollipop. Any android running lollipop will have the same thing.

My LG G3 and note 4 both still did it on lollipop, so I believe that's incorrect.

That is incorrect. Running 5.1.1 on my Nexus 5 and it works just as described.

Ok good, I'm not going crazy after all lol... Wish there were a way to get this back. Not a huge deal, but I find it aesthetically pleasing

I wish there were an answer for this as well.

The last time i had an app do that was with DoubleTwists' music player. It was nice but having been spoiled from a nexus, you get the idea. I now use rocket player which CAN take over but its not aesthetically pleasing. So i am stuck with, well, a bar that sits on the lock screen with FF, RW, and PLY/PSE.

Unfortunately the Nexus lineup has always been the best for that (in my opinion of course).

well samsung is not on lollipop 5.1.1 yet, in 5.0 versions, yes this is how it operates. I've seen it on a nexus 5 that, at the time, was running 5.0. maybe with future android versions on the s6 this will also change.

Yes, this is incorrect. My wife has a S5 running 5.0.1 and full lock screen album art is working. 5.0.2 did away with it. Can't understand why Google didn't just give the option to disable it if you don't like it.

I'm not sure it's an android issue. I have a Nexus 5 running 6.0 and it works on that and did running Lollipop and KitKat. I also have a S6 running Lollipop and it doesn't work. Not sure what the deal is but it's annoying certainly and I'd love to find a solution to it.

Yes, this is incorrect. My wife has a S5 running 5.0.1 and full lock screen album art is working. 5.0.2 did away with it. Can't understand why Google didn't just give the option to disable it if you don't like it.

I'm on 5.0 with my Galaxy S5 and there's no full screen album art like on Kitkat.
