[FullHDMI] Official FullHDMI discussion

well, i just got my HDMI cable, and it works quote well. playing angry birds causes a little stutter but not bad. Playing Gun Bros does not lag or stutter at all.

love this app.

I would love to help in any beta testing if you require additional help.

I used software mode the other day to stream a FLV movie using Super player. It started out as a test at work but then my coworkers gabbed their laptops and told my to leave it on. Worked great. I was a little leary of the SBC Kernel, but I fired up hardware mode and man what a difference it makes phone runs so much smoother. I am hoping that come NHL playoffs we will be able to stream it to the conference room and watch a few games. (Beauty of Working until 11:30pm no managers around) Everyone that I show the HDMI to are pretty impressed with it. Great job Orrebamas!!!!!! Keep up the good work.

I still get some Flicker on angry birds. I think Angry birds worked better in Software mode (No flicker) But everything else is a million times better in Hardware mode.

Would you mind elaborating on what super player is? I have been looking for a decent multi codec player. I have tried rock player, Vplayer, and arc media player. All of these get the job done, but I am always looking for something better. And now, more than anything, I want one that is highly compatible with full HDMI. Thanks.

The weirdest thing has happened twice... In the middle of the night my phone rebooted and went into the htc evo white screen bootloop... The first time I woke up and saw the screen was all black just said force close or wait... I hit force close and it powered off into white screen loop.... Last night I woke up and it was on white screen loop... Never had this happen before, I have no new apps.
Only new thing is beta apk and 1st kernel.

Im on myn warm rls5
1st beta
1st kernel

i would try the kernel 2, my phone works way better with it. battery and speed:)

I would imagine that development will eventually reach a point where Orrebmas will compile a flashable .zip that will put the drivers into any kernel. That way you can choose any kernel, and just flash the zip for the hardware acceleration. But for now, the 2nd kernel based off netarchys is a lot better than the first was, especially if you use a custom ROM.

If you are stock, the first kernel is based 100% of a stock kernel, and might be better.

I had the same problem. also noticed after the reboot the processor was running at 100%. I switched back to Fresh and never looked back.

I don't have any wake lock issue or android system problems myn has been running perfect for 2 months.... Also I thought I read something about the 2nd kernel killed a battery... Isn't the sbc kernel that did that?

If by killed, you mean the battery life, it's possible. I have been using it for a while now, and my battery life is excellent. I use setcpu from the market to dynamically over and underclock. The result is a very fast phone with excellent battery life.

The sbc kernel is pretty sweet, got sbc got a bad rep for cooking 8 batteries when they first came out. No issues yet since they came back, I do believe they are not the best for battery lifespan, but its a tradeoff to get through the day without dying.

still be careful...i was running stock (rooted) rom and flashed the sbc kernel...my battery died completely on the second night of use (posted on here already about it)...i did nothing different, no apks, settings were modified...just added the app and the new kernel.

I heard here and there, of people having battery issue with the SBC kernel , I just hope that people that like it would still be able to use it when the new HDMI 2 app come out. I had so much better battery life with the SCB then any other kernel, but like I mention before it may be because I’m using a 3500mha battery. Sometimes I get almost 2 days without charging on light use.

I had a weird reboot issue last night while I was trying this at work but was able to resolve it. Here's what happened.

I bought a new HDMI cable because my first would not output sound. Upon getting the new cable I tried to plug it in and immediately the screen would go black and then to the white EVO boot screen. Thinking this was a simply anomaly I rebooted and tried again. Same thing except the screen would stay white and not come back until battery pull. I've flashed enough stuff to know when "too long" is so I gave it amble time. Now my first thought was another bad cable because I ran the program before with no issues, just no sound. Back to recovery wiped cache and dalvik rebooted no cable plugged in resulted in normal boot. Plugged cable back in and again, white boot screen no boot. So I thought what changed since the last time I used Full HDMI? I remembered that I thawed Widget Locker from Titanium and began playing with locksreens and started using a custom one. I re-froze Widget Locker and the phone booted up normally with the cable and no more screen freezes. I'm using Myn's RLS5 with the Net's SBC kernel when playing with full HDMI. I'm not sure of anybody else's setup but if you are using Widget Locker, try freezing it if you random reboot or go to pre-boot screen.

I got the program install, but I am unable to start the service. As soon as I click on the program, it loads, then it says "service stopped". In the task bar it says "service is not running". Clicked on start service numerous times and nothing happens.

-Running stock, but rooted
-Cleared Davlik
-Flashed Kernel
-Rebooted

Native HDMI works fine, but FullHDMI will not start. Request help!!! Thanks!

Which Kernel did you install? (his 1st one, or the 2nd one based off a custom build)

Also, just because I don't see it mentioned above and others had some hiccups at the start with this - have you tried switching it back and forth between hardware <-> software modes and/or turning supercharge off/on? Sometimes the service seems to need a kick in the shorts to wake up
