Hey I purchased the full hdmi app for $5 a while back, a couple of days ago I had a problem with it it wouldn't run I never encountered this problem in the past the app is great good job anyhow back to my story so it wouldn't run.on my EVO so I assumed maybe if I uninstall then reinstall that could have helped my issue the problem now is when I went back in the market the app wasn't there I was like WTF then I hear it got pulled and I'm still at WTF so I was wondering how and were can I redownload the app to my phone since its not on the market I don't want the free version I would still like the full version please help......

Attaching a patched version which works with Sense GB. This is for rooted phones right now however. The old method of accessing the HDMI port without root permission does not work anymore. I will be looking into a different way of doing that, until then there are two things you need for this apk to work:
1. Root access.
2. Existing license file.
Since Google pulled the app from the market, it will always fail to authenticate upon launch unless you already have an existing license file on your phone (in which case it will not try to authenticate with the market). If you do, I suggest backing it up (located in /data/data/com.orrebmas.fullhdmi/shared_prefs).

That's great Orrebmas! Good work! We realize you aren't out of the woods yet, because of the whole screw job from Google.

Hopefully something works. The predicament you are in sucks. Just know that if I have to pay for it again, to renew my license, I have no problem with that.

I agree completely! This was an app I used daily, showed it off to friends, really made my evo something to brag about. I never did have my evo rooted and like many others foolishly (blindly), accepted the GB update and have been in mourning since.
I am now patiently waiting for a new root method for my OG Evo, and am confident that with great developers like Agreben(sp?) For a root, and Orrebmas for fullHDMI, my Evo will once again be the envy of my less fortunate Apple using friends.
I too will repurchase/donate for this app. At only $5 bucks I don't comprehend some folks reasoning for their complaints. Five bucks...? I would pay that as a monthly fee! I paid three times that for a launcher that also lost functionality with the GB update! Once again, thanks Orrebmas for an incredible application! And also for not abandoning this project despite the difficulties from Google! You sir Rock!
Also congrats on the patch for rooted phones!

Wow..... Guess every where u go there always has to be a critic. The Grammer police will take just about anyone now a days huh. Well I don't see how u find this post nonsense if I requested help into finding a way to reinstall the app obviously is because I think its worth the time to contact the developer, but I apologize if you took an offense to my WTF it was directed towards Google and I do hope he takes the time too respond. Thank you for your time.

You can download the full version with the GB update here MrE19.

I am just throwing out suggestions here, and they may not be viable, so anyone, feel free to give feedback. Once you get your GB version working, there may be some options to get it back out to your paid customers, and still make it available for purchase by new customers.

Option 1

Open a new developer account. Re-release FullHDMI under a different name. The downside is that those of us that have paid, may have to buy it again. Is there any way for you to know based off their gmail account when someone emails you, if they had previously purchased your app? If so, here is my thought. I personally wouldn't mind paying you again for the app. Consider a donation for your continued development. $5 over again would be the least I could do for all you have done. But that's just me. Anyone who did pay, and doesn't want to again could reach out to you, or maybe you could enlist Loki's help here, and if their email checks out, just refund them directly through paypal or something.

Option 2

You get a new developer account, re-release, and price it lower, something like $1, for 24 hours. Hopefully no one would have a problem throwing a buck your way. After that go up to full price. You will probably have plenty of people screaming about having to pay again, but just politely apologize and take it one case at a time.

Option 3

Release it in another market like Slide-Me, and use the same methods from options 1 or 2 for taking care of new and existing customers. Yongzh got pulled from the market, moved N64oid to Slide-Me and made it free for a couple of weeks. But, when he released an update for it, it was no longer free. We all had to pay again to download the update. People weren't happy about it, but he survived.

Hopefully something works. The predicament you are in sucks. Just know that if I have to pay for it again, to renew my license, I have no problem with that.

I cannot create another Android developer account as Google may suspend that too, then we will have a double sized mess with users who purchased twice. Slide-Me/Amazon are viable options, but will require people to pay again.
My short term goal is to support existing users, those who already paid and got burnt by Google's takedown. Long term goal is to create an automated tool which will generate a license file and install it/email it to the paying user. Then release the demo with an option to unlock to full version using the same automated tool. When the app was taken down, I was able to pull the sales records before the account got suspended, so the automated tool should not be difficult to implement, but will need a lot of time to integrate (in an app or a web server).

Orrebmas, what's the outlook for a patched version that will work with non-rooted phones? Does it look hopeful or no?

I can't see an obvious way to work with unrooted phones yet, but then making it work the first time was not obvious either.
I will keep trying to support unrooted phones again whenever I have free time, however, I am readying for some life events which will consume most of my time for a while.

I hope that whatever it is you have going on is of a positive nature! I really appreciate all the work you've put into this thing. I'm patiently waiting for either root for gb, or a version of fullhdmi that works w/o root.
Got to add, I was going through my market receipts today, and realised I was only charged $3.25 for this app (after tax)! Man what a bargain! I definitely got my full mileage from the app long before this gb issue! Thanks again Orrebmas!!

Looks like I won't ever get to use this til next year

Re: [FullHDMI] Official FullHDMI discussion -- NOW WITH UNROOTED

 People, if you really want some fullhdmi action, just root your phone! The thing takes around 15 minutes when its your first time. Its the best thing I ever did with any phone I ever owned! Everyone is scared for their phone the first time. So stop bugging and root your phones! If Sam hasn't said anything about the non-rooted version, then apparently it isn't done. GROW SOME BALLS AND JUMP!!!!

King, if you know of a way, or are privy to some knowledge as to a root exploit for 2.3.3 on an Evo.... Hook me up! Lol So far as I am aware, those of us that unwittingly accepted the gb update are stuck in limbo for the time being.

It's nice to know you at least have a path that should lead to success. I personally haven't been affected, because I never took an update. I still use this app at least every day. I am just happy to see you have a way to get back this source of revenue for you and your family, and at the same time help out all the eager people waiting for your latest "magic seeds."

Re: [FullHDMI] Official FullHDMI discussion -- NOW WITH UNROOTED

FullHDMI website is back! I'm running it under my wife's website as a subdomain. It has only received some minor updates but will be rebuilt to reflect FullHDMI's current status and will also include some of my other projects.

I still can't put a redirect on the old site however as the Cox personal webspace server is STILL screwed up. Sorry for any confusion this may cause.

I finally got a chance to try the new version for Gingerbread, and it works on my ROM (Mik3D).

I can't wait for 720p kernel support. I did notice that Netflix was buffering a lot, but I was really just happy to see it on the big screen. Even at 480p, video was a bit choppy, running lith-id's Freedom Kernel (Universal) v0.7.

One bug I noticed is that I was unable to get audio to route through the headset without video static every few seconds (and I believe audio routes back to the phone speaker after the service starts). Video is fine with audio routed over HDMI. Besides that, I'm VERY happy to have HDMI mirroring back!! :D
