[FullHDMI] Official FullHDMI discussion

a couple of questions:

- it would help to know what time zone you're in, in order to determine when "tonight" means
GMT -5 is my timezone.
- any plans on adding HDMI support to netarchy's 4.3.2 CFS SBC kernel?
IF he has his github updated with this then yes, and like I mentioned before I will put a link to binaries and sources here on AndroidCentral.

Are you running FullHDMI ver1.0 or ver1.01?

Am going to be doing more benches tonight. Would like some feedback on the chart layout as I will be including HDMwIn in the chart.

Sounds good but hopefully we can stay on topic.

The comparative repeatable data has been very appreciated by all the devs involved as I have been one of the few that has no personal opinion when it comes to the results. I'd say the data is pretty relevant.

Yeah I agree. Just others feel like bashing each thread is helpful or constructive. More annoying than anything. Keep up the good work Lok.

Indeed - thank you for all the time and effort you put into this and please keep it up. As one of the few unbiased sources so active, your certainly providing a awesome service.

I apologize I have been overly busy I didnt have time to update the first post. It will get updated tonight after work.
FullHDMI does not require a special kernel and will work in Hardware mode (which will be the only mode in next release) regardless of what kernel you have installed.
Custom kernels allow you to control where audio should go, phone or HDMI, and provide about 35% more FPS.

I will put time into making 720p flawless but will be included as experimental in the next update. I will be investigating other resolutions as well but this will definitely need new drivers.

That's great news! I like the way you have evolved in this. I think that people reading the thread are still getting caught up in thinking they need a special kernel, but I really think the app has moved, and it sounds like is continuing to move, beyond that point.

The future of a service like this will be that the app can update, and will work with any kernel. It's easy to update an app in the market, and what's great is it looks like we won't have to be chasing kernels forever.

I have just been using any kernel I wanted and the app seems compatible with everything. Correct me if I am wrong.

But if I am right, this is a huge selling point in my opinion. Again thanks, this is the best $3 I ever spent.
