Future of LG and removable batteries

I hope curved isn't true. Would prefer flat + removable battery + amazing DAC. And keep it metal, glass is meh.

And the V30 is like the last of the Mohicans. If they go to sealed, what exactly are the few people who actually need removable going to do?

There only time I would be OK with a sealed battery was if that battery was at least 4000 mah

Don't know if it's been mentionedyet here in this thread but I recently read an article that said LG will be introducing curved displays for their upcoming V30 device. What I want to know is........

WHY DO THEY THINK WE WANT A CURVED DISPLAY??????????? WHY?!?!?!?

Doesn't make sense. The G6 design was a success, I think they should stick with flat screens. Most people WANT to use screen protectors and cases, it's a hard fact. Very glad they stuck with flat screens so far.

I try to avoid the mAh number because it's irrelevant in a lot of ways unless everything else is equal. Battery life matters.

I've been researching the best 'clamp-on' battery extenders that are available; for my S8+ and S7 Edge. This is what we're left to do. Keeping the battery topped-off against anticipated need is what it has become for me. It's something of a small matter when I distill the problem to its essence. I've had to evolve.

next best thing for me would be would be a phone with extended battery case... Mophie or similar.
If they haven't already, someone should make extended battery cases with removable batteries.

Looks like removable batteries still exist in lower-tier devices. That might be another option, not ideal though.

They will lose a lot of customers if they seal the battery.

I totally agree! This was a critical feature that helped me decide to choose LG. And I believe it was for many of us. If they remove that feature, they're just another sheep in the herd.
