FYI: PRL 13xxx means you're on the new Hybrid Network

So just got off with a Advance tech named david And he had no problem doing it. i told him i seen it on the Android Central forums and if i can go ahead and get the Update. He said sure he had no problem with doing it.

Post your results please.

I'm not sure what my prl was prior to this morning, but i had a random reboot at work today. Now i have the 13xxx prl.

There is a thread on here about the reboot and signal searching/battery issue. Some are stating that VZW tech told them that "software" was being pushed to fix the issue. I will try to find the link and post it...

Edit: link http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-thunderbolt/72872-software-version-new-battery-firmware.html
This one kinda hints that many people are having random reboots over the last day or so. I'm wondering if this is part of the same issue. Since we can't update our PRL by the normal *228 method, if it isn't being pushed to our phones and causing a random reboot.

Once it updated, did you see improvement?

so this (Hybrid update) is for the mid west from what i was told because i guess the mid west area were having lots of problems. So Let me make a few phone calls about Twenty to be Exact and see if i have any dropped call experiences like i been having

My PRL is still 14001 and I have yet to be able to hook up to the network extender at my home. The extender group says my PRL is expired and I have a trouble ticket with Verizon to update it. That was this afternoon and it still hasn't changed. I'm going to do a battery pull and pull Sim card. Will report back.

Are you still on an Alltel plan? Myself and one other on xda have the same PRL on legacy Alltel plans.

Still stuck on 14001. I have been going through this since I got the phone. Actually went Saturday to Best Buy to discuss if it may be hardware related and got a replacement phone. Same problem. Could it be because I'm still on an old Alltel plan? Anyone else on an Alltel plan and have an updated PRL?

I called Verizon and no one there seemed to have any idea about any possibility of PRL updates for the Thunderbolt. The tech support guy I talked to put in a ticket to go up the chain to see if there's anything they can do, though.

Call back and try another rep or go to your local Verizon store. This isn't an update that was meant to go out to phones. For me, it was more of a local thing to help me connect to my nearest tower.

I was told last week that only one dept, the ITSD group, could do PRL pushes for the Thunderbolt. At least
I think that was the name. Even with 14001 as the PRL I'm not having any trouble with 4G but my phone will not pick up our extender.
