FYI: Samsung Pay Beta Installed

I have the same version of gear manager as you....
The firmware on the watch should be R732XXU2DPFB for all the new features but mines is still showing R732XXU2CPC5....
I have the classic platinum watch...
The sports version firmware would start R730 followed by the above

I just checked, my software version is actually R720XXU2CPC5, Same as yours and I was able to install and use pay.

Yeah , I installed and used samsung pay already but I don't have any of the new features from the value pack

Gotcha, so many conversations I'm having a hard time keeping up. Can't tell who doesn't have pay, who has it, who's talking about not having pay vs not having the new features. A lot going on in here. 😆
(I have the Beta, but do not have the new update with new features.)

I have a BT classic also and was able to setup and use samsung pay without the firmware update on the watch.... still waiting on the S2 firmware update

So, since my problem is not about my firmware version, I contacted Samsung Support. Wow are they unhelpful. Email and online chat both had absolutely no clue. The Samsung Pay support phone person insisted that Samsung Pay so far only works on 3G watches, not on bluetooth ones. I had to shout a bit and offer to send screenshots of Samsung's own statements to the contrary to get her to believe me. And then all she could think to do was send me to the "Samsung Experience" section of a local BestBuy, where it sounded like they'd just start doing random hard resets and firmware updates -- which I can do and have done myself. Ugh.

So I need the wisdom of the crowd: Anybody else trying to use Samsung Pay with a bluetooth Gear S2 and Samsung Note 4? Anybody else getting a "Gear not responding. Try again" notification when trying to set up Samsung Pay Beta? Anybody else seeing this?: Screen-20160722105434.png

I have not seen an update on my BT S2, but thought I'd give the Pay beta app a shot. It installed on my phone, said the watch needed an update and went ahead and installed that. I am not seeing some of the stuff listed in the firmware upgrade, but Pay beta is working fine on the watch.

Also, for some reason, I see nothing happen for either of my watches if I try to do a manual fw update in Gear Manager. I touch the manual band and nothing at all happens. Hasn't done that before.
 
I have all of the necessary equipment Including Samsung Note 5.. Still no update to CPC6 (Software version for Gear S2) Once that is installed it includes Samsung Pay for Gear S2 (currently using Samsung Pay on Note 5). The slow rollout appears to be to manage issues with BETA version of Tap/Pay on S2..

My BT Classic platinum has CPC5 and it has functioning samsung pay.. Phone is a Note 3
 
Well that is what Samsung told me.. How were you lucky enough to find the beta software?

Contrary to your post above, you do not need the value pack update to use Pay beta. You also do not "find" it, it has to show up as a banner on your phone's Gear Manager. That app loads your S2 BT.
