G3 updates?

Hi. Have a first Gen moto x want to upgrade to either the g3 or new x. I'd like to know how LG is when it comes to updating because I think moto is amazing at it. Thanks

LG is good with updates but the problem is that they have to go through the U.S. carriers first for testing.
I would say Android L will be released for the G3 late this or early next year.
It goes to the Nexus line first.

I love my G3 but I'm guessing that the Moto X will get updates faster

I've received three updates since buying a couple of months ago. UK, unlocked.

Moto has to do carrier testing too except for with the apps they pushed to the play store
