G4 Purchase Options in UK

So I'm currently on EE using my iPhone 5S. Finally decided that I want something that'll give me something new to tackle. Loving the G4, mostly for the camera but also the fit and form.

So what's the best purchase option in the UK. I'm going to be going the upgrade route, so purchase date is 31 August. It NEEDS to be on EE if it's subsidised.

The two options I've seen so far...

1. Direct with EE - but only the black leather version available, and I'd much prefer the tan leather
2. Carphone Warehouse - they have tan, lol.

Biggest question I suppose is what's loaded on the CPW version? I've bought other handsets from them before and they've been the generic unlocked version of the model being bought, is this the same with the G4, in other words without all the EE crape on it? Or do they load their own version of launcher on there?

CPW sell unbranded sim free phones with no bloatware. EE will sell you an EE variant with their own bloat added. CPW is also usually cheaper.

Thank you, I pretty much thought as much. Thankfully they'd resisted putting all that on iPhones that I've had from them in the past, but figured 'droid would be too much of a temptation.

It's worth buying from them just to get an unbranded sim unlocked phone.

Have a look at mobiles.co.uk as well. I've just got my G4 from them and they were cheaper than CPW. They are also free from bloat etc.
