Agree, there are many factors at play here. Personally I am more interested in low standby drain, and I must say I'm extremely happy with the G6 in that area.

Standby drain on this phone is pretty amazing, coming from the Note 5. I lose around 1% per hour with the phone in my car while I'm working in a prison.
Yesterday I had the day off, so I decide to do a whole crap ton of Internet browsing. Great screen time.

My battery life seems to have taken a hit since the last update 10L, about 10%less SoT.. used to get 5&1/2 to 6 hours but now more akin to 4&1/2

I received the June security update to NRD90U last week and battery life definitely took a very significant hit. Best SoT I have had is just over 4 hours before hitting around 10%. Previously that would be a minimum with typical around 5 hours and max up to 6 hours. Nothing obvious in battery stats, though sometimes phone idle passes display, which seems a bit high, but I don't put too much faith in battery stats because even on Nexus devices I have seen some pretty misleading info in many builds.

I did the same as Op (ie switch from an s8+) and the g6 i traded for is not new out of the box (traded phones with someone) and even on it's first day without even a proper full charge i'm at 23 hours + on battery with over 5 hours sot..... Heavy usage since i had to install everything and stuff but that to me is a good sign ! + Standby seems much better on the g6 i barely dropped maybe 2-3% during the night where my s8 would drop more even with wifi and sync disabled while i slept,not needed on the g6 (completely forgot to even disable those). 2nd day in still happy with it the placement of the fingerprint sensor makes me more happy than the amoled screen did on the s8+ lolz

Yeah but 10h SoT ? Hmm is it with 1 charge.. I knew some people are recharging the phone mine was with 1 charge from 100-0%

can't say xD i'd guess probably not i got 6 hours sot on my first discharge (not brand new though,i traded with my s8+). First discharge dosen't mean much though,more often then not it's gonna get big life out of your first discharge

In my experience, this phone has one of the best stand by battery times I've ever had.

Just tried a factory reset to see if that fixes it..I'll let you know how it goes!

No charge.. You can see all my screen shots of the graph and see there was no charge. Lol if you got 7, it's not a stretch that I was able to get 10.. I did it once to prove that I can.. I'm usually around 6 or 7 on any given day

I wasn't scrolling over the page so i didn't saw, but i belive you it's pretty possible the phone has great battery life...

Currently i went to edit the post to see my SoT and i'm on 1h and 7 min with 94% battery since we are talking about it.. It would be great if we could change the screen resolution like Galaxy phones can.. imagine the SoT at FHD resolution

This phone does amazing with its battery.
