GA: Atlanta/Athens 4G LTE - Official Thread

As of this moment, my phone is not connecting to the internet/3G, etc.

I don't know what it was but my phone started working later that day and has had no problems since.
Must be sun spots.

I keep finding big pools of 4G almost everywhere I go.
Still nothing at my workplace in Norcross, but 3G has improved and other parts of the city, closer to I-85, has 4G so the coverage is getting better and better.

How is everyone else doing on the 4G LTE coverage in the ATL?

Snug as a bug in a rug here. Loganville is blanketed and Snellville and Lawrenceville are covered. I'm getting more and more pleased with every day's progress.

With all the buildings and stuff downtown, coverage will be coming street by street rather than mile by mile out here in the sticks.
It is getting better everyday.

Merritt,
The new update for the EVO 4G LTE appears to more readily switch to LTE when it is available. When we ate at O'Shucks last night it did take several minutes before it locked on.

I've found building penetration to be more than adequate. I wonder when the Atlanta buildout will be completed or will it always be an ongoing process?

I believe Sprint is shooting for ATL completion by the end of this year.
At this rate, I can see it happening. Just my $.02

Actually, it looks like the ATL will be finished August 2013 per Network Vision/LTE Deployment Running List - Sprint 4G Rollout Updates

Oh well. It is getting better everyday.

I assume you are referring to Atlanta City Limits.
It does take longer to work around the tall buildings, but it is getting better every week.
